I set up a basement gym for COVID-era home training complete with a 100lb heavy bag. My ceiling is too low for one of those wobbly free-standing rack bag-hanger things, plus they take up a lot of floor space. So I did some research and invested in this to hang the bag directly from the studs in the ceiling. Works great and after a few months of use it shows no stress and keeps things as quiet as possible for my family upstairs. I had an older friend with some boxing experience help me install it, and he also remarked on the quality.Only one very minor issue: When I bought this I also purchased the Meister Professional Heavy Bag Spring (bought both here on Amazon) and the plastic bushings that came with the Firstlaw mount were too thick to fot the spring. So we had to switch out one of them for a couple of plastic washers stacked up to be a little less thick overall. See photo for what I am talking about. Firstlaw might want to include smaller bushings that can be combined to fit other sized springs.Overall I definitely recommend this product to someone who wants a secure hang and a minimal footprint / clean look for their training area.
