The same company makes another version that is more narrow. This 7.5 inch wide version is perfect for picking up dog poop. It is sturdy and just about the same dimensions as the bags that our newspapers come in. It is long enough to store two poops in if desired. I will buy it again when the current ones run out. Much better, in my opinion, than the bags custom made for dog poops. They seem too wide, at least a relatively small dog such as ours.
