This is a review of the Ceylon Green Tea, which is somewhat unusual for a Green Tea in that it's made using big-leaf tea (Camellia sinensis v assamica) grown in Sri Lanka. Most green tea is made from small-leaf varieties of C. sinensis v. sinensis, and most assamica leaves are used to make black tea. Ceylon and Assam black teas are well known for their strong malty flavor, and some of this comes through in the green tea as well. If you're a coffee drinker trying to drink more green tea for its health benefits, try this one. It's quite flavorful, hearty and earthy rather than delicate, and is inexpensive enough to enjoy every day.
